Cahooty are a four-piece band from West Cornwall playing a unique style of acoustic roots music with double bass, harmonica, guitars and four-part harmonies. Cahooty formed in November 2004 - the result of two duos coming together and playing "in cahoots"! With Stu and Chris bringing a distinctive Blues and Cajun feel to Jacqui and Tony's Bluegrass and Country sound an acoustic soup emerged with its own flavour. Cahooty's set list includes old time standards, original material and re-interpretations of classics from the 50's & 60's as well some unlikely acoustic versions of more contemporary hits all presented with a lively dose of energy and enthusiasm.
The Neil Maya Quartet is one of South West's most exciting and talented modern and contemporary jazz groups. They play jazz to the highest standard throughout the South West from the tip of Cornwall through Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. The quartet's aim is to find new and exciting sounds within the wide scope of jazz whilst staying accessible to the public at large. As well as playing innovative re-workings of jazz standards and other material by other composers the band also like to play their own composition.

Martin Simpson was born in May 1953 in Scunthorpe in Lincolnshire, a particularly fertile tilth for English traditional music as Percy Grainger and generations thereafter discovered. After leaving school in 1970 and abandoning a half-hearted stab at further education, he threw it all in to become a professional musician in 1971. By the age of 12 he was playing guitar, by 13 banjo and at 14 he made his first paid appearance. Like his friend and fellow Martin, Martin Carthy, he still plays the British folk club circuit as eagerly as the grandest music rooms that the world of music can offer.
