The artists appearing at Carn to Cove venues this season are:
 
Bish Bash Bosh Productions - founded in 2007 by Dean Nolan and Alan M. Kent where they aim to explore performance art to its extreme! They look at the amazing Cornish Stories that have never been told!
Claudia Caolin y Campania create an event dedicated to traditional Flamenco art (originating in the rich culture of Andalusia) with live authentic Flamenco music, song and dance. The dances draw from and depict the full range of human emotions, from dark pits of despair to pure elation and celebration of life itself. The instantly recognisable and alluring qualities of the flamenco guitar, a vocal style steeped in the Andalusian tradition of Eastern scales and vibrant enticing percussion spur the dancer on to cathartic climaxes of footwork and fierce emotive expression.
Cscape Dance Company is a producing dance theatre company that creates and performs work, which is highly collaborative and playful in nature.
Dalla’s line up includes clarinet, bouzouki, fiddle and vocals, and the repertoire is a mixture of instrumental pieces and songs in both English and Cornish (a Celtic language similar to Breton or Welsh). Some of the material is old, some new, and all of it is Cornish. 
Duchy Opera has built an enviable reputation as one of the country’s finest regional, semi-professional opera companies where a passion for opera is brought alive with imagination and flair.
Esteban Antonio been lauded as one of the greatest living flamenco guitarists. Has composed many flamenco dance theatre productions in Germany, France North America, Finland and Japan.
Gonzo Moose is a Bristol based touring comedy theatre company, who combine improvisation, clowning, slapstick, puppetry and music to produce a distinctive and visually inventive style of eccentric comedy theatre.
Hoover the Dog are a Welsh borders trio and purveyors of inventive, intelligent music, featuring the virtuoso combination of John Hymas' strings, the athletic accordion of Paul Hutchinson and guitar/bouzouki man Tony Harris' light, fluid fingerings. Exhibiting bags of technical brilliance and the gift of making music clever and funny at the same time the music ranges from stylish and understated to gutsy and gleeful.
Ian Keable reads minds and does magic tricks: but all done in a humorous presentation.  There are plenty of gasps; and plenty of laughs too.  He specialises in comedy through audience participation, where those involved enjoy themselves as much as the audience.
Independent Cinema Office is the national organisation for the development and support of independent film exhibition in the UK.
The ICO works in association with independent cinemas, film festivals, film societies and the regional and national screen agencies.
John Brolly specialises in storytelling for all age groups, from Pre-school to Pensioner. He is a professional actor and director and can turn a simple idea into an epic performance involving a whole school but at the same time reducing the most complex of tales to its simplest basic human emotions.
In John’s hands storytelling is not a passive art form and can spiral into a dynamic experience of music, drama and dance.
Kabasa isa big, live party band with a sunny, warm, brassy sound, mellow vocals and hot percussion. They play funked up Afro-Latin dance music and songs that give a 'feel good' vibe and really get people moving... perfect for Salsa or just grooving to. Kabasa plays music mainly from Cuba and Brazil as well as original songs. Their unique arrangements also have elements of Funk, Jamaican & West African rhythms, Jazz and smouldering Flamenco.
Mamane Barka is so far the only master of the Biram in Niger and all over the world. He himself is a well know musician in Niger, famous for many popular songs he composed in the eighties and nineties. He used to play other traditional string instruments, but today his dedication is the BIRAM. He presents the songs of the Boudouma together with one percussionist, who plays during the show three different kinds of traditional nigerien percussion: Kalangou, calebasse and of course the Douma, a spiritual drum, used for the secret rhythms of the Haussa trance dance “Bori”. Omar, the percussionist is he himself a griot, initiated in these secret rhythms.
Michael Lunts has been combining music, both popular and classical, with his passion for drama for just about as long as he can remember, working in regional and West End theatre as both actor and Musical Director. 
Miracle Theatre Company's distinctive voice is derived from a bold and direct performance style and a strong rapport with its audience, regardless of age or background.   Since it began life in Cornwall in 1979, Miracle Theatre Company has developed a reputation for exciting new writing and popular adaptations of classic works: the shows are witty, highly physical and entertaining. Miracle’s work is collaborative, bringing together artists, actors, musicians, writers and makers from around Cornwall to create theatre with a unique comic style, a joyful use of language, and an immediate visual appeal.
Multi Story Theatre Company is a small-scale touring theatre company which was created in 2000 by Bill Buffery and Gill Nathanson. Bill Buffery both performed and directed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and was Artistic Director of Orchard Theatre Company for eleven years. Gill Nathanson worked with some of the UK's top Education and Community theatre companies before joining Orchard Theatre Company in 1989. As the name implies, multi story are centrally concerned with the enduring power of story - and with communicating the richness of the old stories to new audiences, both young and old.
Philip Clouts Quartet - in 2006 the jazz pianist and composer Philip Clouts moved to the beautiful Jurassic coastal village of Charmouth in West Dorset from South Africa. This new quartet is, he says, inspired “by the sights and sounds of the area”. 
PuppetCraft one of Britain's most acclaimed puppet companies, touring nationally and internationally to schools, theatres, villages and festivals.  PuppetCraft presents a wide range of shows and workshops for children, families and adults, using traditional folktales and original modern stories. It is noted for its beautifully crafted puppets.
Shanty Theatre Company started on a beach. With roots deeply embedded in the countryside, they tell the stories that make-up the fabric of a place, spring from its history and are wound up in its myths.
Squashbox Theatre Craig Johnson is a performer, musician and puppeteer, and a long-standing member of Kneehigh Theatre, Cornwall‘s internationally renowned theatre company. Squashbox Theatre aims to bring quality performances to schools, involving puppetry, storytelling, live music and comedy.
TG Collective was born in September 2006, bringing together a spirited brew of young, Birmingham-based musicians. Moving through flamenco, jazz, gypsy, hotclub and contemporary classical influences, the group is centered around the two acoustic guitars of Jamie and Sam, set alongside a core of Percy Pursglove on double bass, cajon and trumpet; Holly Jones on flute and alto flute, and Louis Robinson on violin. TGC also feature eminent flamenco dancer and choreographer Ana Garcia, and world percussionist/cajon player Tom Chapman, with interchanging shapes of ensemble within a performance.
The Hitchcock Rules  An indie, rock, pop melting pot!! The band are Rich on drums, Dan on guitars, Stu on bass and Ryan on keys, guitars and vocals.
Trifle Gathering Productions areCornwall's leading exponents of delirious wit - bringing highly original comedy and theatre to anyone in need of a hearty chuckle. They produce cabaret, events and theatre shows for absolutely everyone.
 
Information for Artists
 
Carn to Cove offer two seasons per year - autumn (Oct-Dec) and spring (Feb-June). Each venue is able to book two shows per season. We host two menu parties for each season - for autumn the party is usually in April and for the spring, in September. We work on putting the shows together for the menu in the weeks leading up to the menu party.
