Are you 16 or over, interested in history, film, mining, acting, singing or media and ready for a role in front of, or behind, the camera?
With a team of talented creatives from Falmouth University, we’re creating a documentary to tell the true story of an 18 year old Cornish miner who was called up in 1917 and served in the trenches of WWI.
We are recruiting young participants as volunteers in many roles, and everyone can take part. If you’d like to get involved, email firstname.lastname@example.org and join us at our screen test and volunteer recruitment afternoon at Truro College on Wednesday 4th July at 3.15pm in Kenwyn building room K038.
We are also offering potential recruits the opportunity to join us for a special day time performance of The Trench in Bodmin from 11am – 3pm on Wednesday 4th July. If you would like to take part, please email email@example.com
Cornish Tommies: From War to Peace 1918-2018 is a film to mark the centenary of the Armistice 11th November 1918 and dedicated in remembrance to those who fell in World War One.
C Fylm are producing a documentary film this summer, directed by young Cornish graduates, which tells the story of an 18 year old Cornish miner called up in 1917. He served in the trenches in the last year of the war where he was severely injured. Evacuated to Blighty, he was awarded the DCM (Distinguished Conduct Medal) and settled back in his village where he was a noted singer in the village choir.
We are recruiting young participants as volunteers in many roles, learning skills in front of, and behind, the camera. Everyone is welcome to take part in the project!
