Clive Carroll 1000 Years of Music Clive Carroll was described by Acoustic Guitar magazine as ‘Probably the Best and Most Original Young Acoustic Guitar Player and Composer in Britain’. An inspirational evening of medieval lute music, Spanish guitar classics, Delta Blues and hints of Chet Atkins and Django Reinhardt, through to the Beatles. All played by this world-class guitarist. Clive has established himself as one of the leading acoustic guitar players in the world along with John Renbourn and Tommy Emmanuel with whom he has toured. His three albums illustrate his impeccable technique combined with an eclectic mix of musical influences ranging from early classical to contemporary jazz. If you’ve seen him at Calstock Arts as part of Four Parts Guitar you’ll know how accomplished he is – as well as being a great storyteller. Doors & Licensed Bar from 7.00pm. Show starts at 8.00pm Show finishes approx.10.15pm There’s plenty of time to walk to Calstock Rail Station after the concert to catch your train back to Plymouth. The Chapel is only a few minutes walk from Calstock Station.
