Carn to Cove is Cornwall’s rural arts touring scheme.  We hope to amuse, entertain and generally bowl over communities around Cornwall with the latest live performances in their own halls and community centres.

Six new communities are taking part this season thanks to the funding from the Feast programme. These include market towns Bodmin and Penryn as well as new villages; Sancreed, Trannack, Bugle and Fourlanesend. They have all booked shows for the first time and we welcome them to the wider Carn to Cove scheme.

We are also working with Cornwall Young Promoters Scheme, which has been developed and is managed by a partnership between RIO and The Works. It is funded by The Paul Hamlyn Foundation with support in its first year from Feast. The scheme will be operating in close collaboration with Carn to Cove and all the venue Cornwall partners to make sure young people all over Cornwall have access to quality live performances in a wide variety of venues.

We fill local sports halls, reading rooms, galleries, chapels and Cornwall's wonderfully varied village halls with poetry, laughter, music, drama and dance.  Performers roll in from around the world as well as our best Cornish performers from down the road.

Her father knew they were mismatched, but she was stubborn. A mere locksmith for a husband! And now look at them, years later, bickering and divided...

How can his shop thrive when her "literary activities" make him a laughing-stock? The audiences for her weekly Dickens readings bring in money! He's just trying to stifle her creative urges!

One day, a mysterious visitor arrives with a challenge for the Locksmith that might at last change his fortunes for the better. But his wife falls ill, and the Locksmith has to make a choice - a choice that will force him to face his deepest secret.

Poignant and heart-warming, The Locksmith's Wife is a bittersweet tale of redemption in a blighted marriage.
