C-Fylm and National Trust Trelissick is celebrating the anniversary of women’s suffrage with a screening of ‘Suffragette’ on August 29 at 7.30pm. Trelissick is running three exhibitions called ‘I Dare, I Dream, I Do’ to celebrate the life of Ida Copeland who gifted the property to the National Trust in 1955. Ida Copeland beat Oswald Mosley to become in MP for Stoke-on-Trent; was instrumental in the establishment of the Girl Guides and was a well-loved philanthropist.
The National Trust is celebrating 100 years since some women secured the vote with a series of events and exhibitions collectively entitled ‘Women and Power.’ Click here for more details.
